UAG4100: How to create batch static accounts similar in VSG1200v2?

This is an application requirement in School for students to access. School needs to create multiple accounts in batch which can be done on ZyXEL VSG1200v2. See page 95 on ZyXEL VSG1200v2 user's guide.

Eg : user ID student01 to student20

How to do it on UAG4100?

As of now, UAG 4100 supports static account but does not support "create multiple accounts in batch at one time". User will need to create multiple accounts one by one.

Here is the workaround using CLI command to create static account:

Router(config)#username student01 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Step 1: Create XLS so that can use Auto Fill function to create a series.

Step 2: From XLS, Save As .CSV file format.

Step 3: Open CSV file using Notepad. 

Find and Replace , with [Space]. Save the file as TXT.

Step 4: Copy all the commands in TXT and paste at one go to CLI Config. You should get the following results:

Router(config)#username student01 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student02 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student03 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student04 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student05 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student06 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student07 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student08 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student09 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber

Router(config)#username student10 password 1234 user-type pre-subscriber
